Volunteers are needed to help spruce up the Kamalani Playground from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lydgate Park.

The Friends of Kamalani and Lydgate Park are scheduling a work day to coincide with National Make A Difference Day and encourage people to share its aloha for Kaua‘i’s kids by caring for the Kamalani Playground and Lydgate Park.

Volunteers are asked to bring water bottle, work gloves, sun protection, shoes and an ample supply of smiles.

Lunch and treats will be served.
