PO‘IPU — The aerial and ground search resumed Wednesday for Charles Slezak, a 67-year-old visitor from Canoga Park, Calif.
He was last seen at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the vicinity of the Kiahuna Plantation in Po‘ipu and was reported missing early Tuesday morning, a county news release states.
Air 1 with fire rescue personnel aboard continued the search along the coastal area of Po‘ipu starting at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. In addition, three plainclothes police officers and fire personnel have also joined the ground search.
For the past two days, the rescue team has been assisted by the Coast Guard with an aircraft and a patrol vessel.
Slezak is approximately six feet tall and weighs about 195 pounds. He has black hair, green eyes, a medium build and fair complexion. He is of Caucasian descent.
He was last seen wearing black and white floral surf shorts, a light blue collared T-shirt and carrying swim fins.
