KILAUEA — The Garden Café recently announced hiring a new chef, Rodman Machado.
He brings over 20 years of multi-national culinary experience and will continue The Garden Café approach of using locally sourced ingredients to create delicious healthy affordable meals, a news release states.
“We are proud to announce that we hired Chef Rodman to serve as Restaurant Manager and Chef,” The Garden Cafe said in the release. “Rodman’s food has already created a buzz in the local community and business is increasing so we are excited to have him on board.”
Rodman joined The Garden Café with experience and a dedication to excellence to match his ideas. After his studies at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Machado returned to Hawai‘i, where he worked in several restaurants including Ola at Turtle Bay Resort, and La Cascata previously at the St. Regis Resort.
Machado’s expertise in Regional Island Cuisine brings a new dimension to The Garden Café’s menu, the release states.
