Hiking Sleeping Giant is the beginning of my week each Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. It wakes me up, makes me feel good physically and mentally, and I never fail to appreciate the wonder and beauty of the area.

It all started one Sunday morning when we met 72-year-old Joe. He was on his 79th consecutive day hiking the Sleeping Giant. I’m not going to lie, I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest. But Joe inspired us. I told my hiking buddy, “If he can do it every day, we can do it four days a week!” And the rest is history. The beauty is breathtaking and you meet a lot of people on the Giant, and when we passed Joe on Saturday, Sept. 17, he was on his 170th consecutive day.

Gotta love our Princess
This bundle of joy is Princess. She is a yellow tabby with green eyes. Princess is still a kitten, we adobted her into our family as a early birthday present for my baby sister; Jessica’s 5th birthday. When Princess was brought into our lives she was only weeks old. Princess loves water and comes when called. She has an amazing personality and doesn’t seem to think she is a cat! We love her, she can always bring a smile to our face. Thats why Princess is my ‘Gotta love it’ of the week!
