Jason Ensunsa of Maui exchanged his satellite dishes for grills and hot dogs as he as Rose Lalin hosted Brad Hiranaka and the Kaua‘i Youth Football League to a hot dog luncheon as part of Direct TV and D&M Satellite Solutions’ support for Kaua‘i’s communities.
Brad said KYF’s first game for the fall season is Sunday and Direct TV is sponsoring the uniforms for the KYF teams.
Jane Garma is thrilled soccer is back! Her son Scrappy ran the KIF cross country race Saturday morning, did chain gang duty at Saturday night’s football game (John Kaneholani had the best meal of the night — hot dogs and rice!), and still made it to North Vidinha, Sunday for the Kaua‘i Soccer Association opener.
Josh Herr, nursing an injured leg, tried to appeal to Ross Shimabukuro to “run” the cross county race on crutches, but to no avail. But he had company in Mason Vegas who recollected some of the “good” races they had in 2010.
Yukie DeSilva said Tyson Alger has quite a following on the football blog during the game — check him out, Saturday at www.thegardenisland.com during the game!
