Hats off to Richard Kuga on a great event and mahalo to Richard for the heads-up at the Kaua‘i Economic Development Board Aloha ‘Ike fundraiser Friday night.
Mattie Yoshioka was at the science show and said KEDB helped pay for the buses to get all the students to the show.
Meanwhile, she said Mia Ako is already trying to figure out how to make the robotics show more interesting, and Derek Kawakami (he ran the Kaua‘i Marathon, Sunday) said Susan Tai Kaneko is working to stimulate agriculture with the farming business plan contest which she mentioned during the recent Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair (yes, Ron Cade was there helping as well).
Happy birthday to Gini Kapali, who was able to come home for her special day with Marcus Oshiro and the House Finance Committee (great job to Jimmy Tokioka, Derek Kawakami and Dee Morikawa in organizing the event).
