Jon Kobayashi and Lois Keamoai both had reminders on the football game at Hanapepe Stadium. Entrance is the same place it’s always been, next to the Hanapepe Neighborhood Center. Jon also suggested football fans bring flashlights because with the new lights, the parking lots are pretty dark.
Karin Panui, Shelly Gerardo (don’t forget the Special Olympics Benefit Ride Sunday) and a lot of new faces were at the KIF Air Riflery opener at the Hanapepe Armory, noticed Waimea coach Victor Aguilar.
There were full crowds at the KIF girls volleyball games as well as both the Island School and Waimea gyms … mahalo to Lisa Iida and Michelle Lemi for texting the scores and Westy Kessler’s (happy birthday) mom, Theresa Morita, was handling the scoresheets at Island School.
Great job to all the athletic directors on the “new” look at the gyms
After that long weekend, drop in on Pastor Wesley Elmore and the Lihu‘e United Church (behind King Auto Center) for a nice Labor Day breakfast Monday. Mark Marshall and Laurel Loo will be there!
