Kiahuna a success at Futsal

The Kiahuna Sports Futsal team took first place in the third annual Dragon Boat Futsal Tournament held at Ala Moana Beach Park on O’ahu earlier this month. The team won all four of its matches by a combined score of 24-3.

Futsal is commonly referred to as indoor soccer. Futsal originated in Uruguay and is played on a basketball court with five players on each team.

The futsal program based out of Poipu is run by Jorge Bordt. Bordt is the co-owner of the Kiahuna Swim and Tennis Club and former captain of the U.S. National Futsal team.
