Happy birthday to Chef Rafael Camarillo who celebrated his Christmas, Friday. Ike Cockett said Chef Rafael was working as usual, but they did have time to do a little celebration, taking advantage of Blaze Entertainment’s holiday decor for the Christmas in July event.
Kudos to all involved for the festive preview (Blaze Entertainment said that was practice for the Lights on Rice parade, Dec. 2).
Everything started Wednesday when Ron Margolis of the Rotary Club of Kapa‘a presented the Green Awards. Jaye Youn and Barbara Gusman (mahalo for the offer of bottled water to go) made sure all the news of the Courtyard excitement was out.
Jessie Akagi and Ipo Yoshioka made it a point to celebrate Christmas along with Father Christmas, and if there was more time, it would have been fun to see what Jason Fujinaka and Val Rynda were going to do with the hula hoops.
Joe and Gini Stoddard were on hand as was Danny Hamada, Tad and Caroline Miura, Brent Mizutani, Bernard Carvalho Sr., Edie Bandman, and even Marty Amaro.
