KAPA‘A – A telephone wire on Kuhio Highway in Kapa‘a was reported down at approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning, causing Kaua‘i police to divert traffic heading for Kawaihau Road from Kuhio Highway via Hauaala Road, a county press release said.
KAPA‘A – A telephone wire on Kuhio Highway in Kapa‘a was reported down at approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning, causing Kaua‘i police to divert traffic heading for Kawaihau Road from Kuhio Highway via Hauaala Road, a county press release said.
Hawaiian Telcom crews were alerted and arrived on scene at approximately 10:30 a.m. Police will continue with traffic control measures until the downed wire is removed. Motorists heading for Kapahi should expect to use Hauaala Road for the time being, and are asked to use caution in the area.
