PRINCEVILLE — A woman who reportedly injured herself while attempting to swim at Queen’s Bath on Sunday was airlifted by the Kaua‘i Fire Department’s Air 1 and transported to Wilcox Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Kaua‘i Police Department Dispatch received a call at 3:14 p.m. Sunday, reporting that a 42-year old Princeville resident fell while entering Queen’s Bath and needed assistance, a county statement said. Personnel from the Hanalei Fire Station were the first to arrive at 3:26 p.m. They were assisted by Rescue 3 and called for the helicopter to lift the victim to a landing area in Princeville, where she was then transferred to an ambulance and taken to Wilcox.
The county did not release the name of the victim and said her condition was unknown.
