Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. and Lenny Rapozo, director of the county’s Department of Parks and Recreation, joined parents and friends of the Kawaihau Big League All Stars who turned out to congratulate the team on its state championship, Tuesday night at the Lihu‘e Airport. The team earned its title following a 3-2 edge over the Hilo All Stars, Monday night at the Wong’s Stadium in Hilo.
