KOLOA — Medics rushed a woman to Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Wednesday after she sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash on Kaumuali‘i Highway in Koloa.
The driver of a 2007 white Chevrolet pickup was traveling east in the outside lane when it apparently crossed the inner lane and centerline into the westbound lane just west of mile marker eight at around 11:10 a.m., a police report said.
A green Ford pickup, headed west, then struck the backside of the white pickup, causing it to spin. The white pickup eventually struck an embankment.
The female passenger of the white Chevy pickup sustained abrasions to both of her arms and pains to her chest. No other injuries were reported.
Westbound traffic was diverted to Maluhia Road for about an hour while crews cleared the roadway.
