The public is invited to the free Stars and Stripes Freedom Celebration, July 1 from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Mana.
H. Hawai‘i Media is coordinating the entertainment lineup which will feature Kaua‘i bands such as The Quake Kaua‘i, Greenstone Project, the Rakudo Taiko Ensemble and more.
Captain Nicholas Mongillo, the PMRF Commanding Officer, will welcome people to the grounds of Shenanigans Restaurant where the event will be hosted through the efforts of PMRF and its Morale, Welfare and Recreation group.
A 14-minute fireworks display by Pyro Spectatulars will highlight the drug-free event which will feature games, craft booths, and food booths, including several new vendors such as Kalaheo Steakhouse, said Tom Clements, the Public Affairs Officer for PMRF.
Admission is free and guests can enter through the main gate, also known as the Housing Gate, located at Mile Marker 30 on Kaumuali‘i Highway.
Signs will be posted to aid motorists.
Free parking will be available, although visitors are reminded that all vehicles and backpacks will be subject to search. No outside food or beverages, coolers, tents, pets, weapons or personal fireworks are allowed.
