The Kaua‘i Motocross Riders Association held its fourth race of the year on Sunday, May 22 at the Wailua Motocross Track. It was a super day of high-flying action with riders pushing faster lap times than ever seen at the Wailua Motocross Track, states a release from KMRA’s Brian Barretto.
With the luxury of great weather conditions, spectators were treated to some very interesting and exciting racing.
One of the highlights of the day was in the 250 Amateur Class where, after a bull-riding demonstration during last month’s race and battling his way through this race, Branden Orsatelli finished both motos in first and walked away with the overall win, followed closely by Daryl Dabin.
Other highlights of the day were from the Keiki Track where Po‘okela Silva took the overall win over seven other keiki racers.
The next scheduled KMRA motocross race at the Wailua Motocross Track will be KMRA’s fifth race of the year and will be held this Sunday. Come out and enjoy the fun in the sun and catch all the high-flying action, bar-banging competition of Motocross at the highest level on Kaua‘i. Racing on Sunday will begin at 10 a.m. Spectator admission is $5.00 per person, kids 5 and under free. Lunch wagon and shave ice will be available.
