KAPA‘A — Tab Matsumoto dropped 37 points and Olin Claussen added 32 points to lead H1 and 1 to a 104-27 roll over the Bus Drivers in one of six games, Thursday in the Youth Summer Basketball league.
The Bus Drivers got 14 points from Jim Aronica and eight points from Brandon Palacio in one of three 18 and Over games played at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
The Kaua‘i Youth Basketball Association and the County of Kaua‘i hosted three other games at the Bernice Hundley Gym in Kapa‘a, working with coaches and other volunteers to overcome technical issues with the scoreboard and game clock.
Joe Duronslet, a standout from the Kaua‘i High School program, finished with a game-high 18 points and Mike Lindsey added 14 points to fuel Manny’s Sports 82-45 win over Tropang-L.

Junard Mata finished with a game-high 18 points and Rober Clement added nine points to lead the Kaua‘i Ballers to a 58-18 win over the West Kaua‘i Hornets, who saw Bernny Ned held to just six points along with Winton Term.
Mark Lacierna was surrounded by four bigs from Hanakila, as the Team Lihu‘e low post was limited to just 11 points in a 61-19 loss at the hands of the North Shore yellowshirts.
Denmark Aladin netted 16 points and Christian Roslin added 12 to lead the Hanakila win over Team Lihu‘e.
