The County of Kaua‘i outstanding employees will be honored during a get-together at 5:30 p.m. June 21 at the War Memorial Convention Hall.
Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. announced the county’s 2010 Outstanding Employees for the county’s various departments and agencies Tuesday at the Mo‘ikeha Building, Lihu‘e Civic Center. It is part of the Employee Recognition Program coordinated by the county’s employee council.
Nancy Fontanilla of the County Clerk and Auditor’s offices, Chelsie Taro of the Kaua‘i Civil Defense, Rosemarie Manago of the Agency on Elderly Affairs, Nalani Brun of the Office of Economic Development and Garrett Johnson of the Finance Department are among those being honored as outstanding employees.
William Keahiolalo and Gregory Stutzer got the nod from the Fire Department, Sharon Kelekoma was the choice from the Housing Agency and Pualani Borales was recognized from the Mayor’s Office.
Froilan Gacusan Jr. and David Garcia were the honorees from the Department of Parks and Recreation and Marie Williams was named from the Planning Department.
Lt. Mark Scribner and Michael Lane were selected from the Kaua‘i Police Department and Peggy Salba-Honnet represents the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Robert Cremer Jr. and Wallis Fernandez were noted from the Department of Public Works, June Fujimoto got the nod from the Transportation Department and Serafin Galvez is the choice from the Department of Water.
A representative from the employee council said a limited number of tickets for the get-together are available by calling the mayor’s office at 241-4900.
