Tickets for the University of Hawai‘i Na Koa Foundation football fundraiser on Kaua‘i are on sale until May 31 at various outlets around the island.
Admission is $40 presale and $50 at the door and will include heavy pupu by Mark’s Place and Contemporary Flavors Catering, two beverages and an opportunity for University of Hawai‘i football items.
The event will be held on June 3 at the Kaua‘i Community College dining facility from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature an appearance by the five Kaua‘i players on the UH Warriors’ football team, as well as UH head football coach Greg McMackin.
“This has never been done on Kaua‘i where the entire island can see our showcase of five boys,” said Mark Oyama, the UH Na Koa Foundation, Kaua‘i Chapter representative. “Come and give them your support.”
The five Kaua‘i players include Kenny Estes, Jett Jasper, Vaughn Meatoga, Siasau Matagiese and Sean Michael Shigematsu.
McMackin is expected to talk about some of the team’s recruits, the move to the Mountain West Conference, and offer a preview of the upcoming football season, which starts Sept. 3 with a kickoff against Colorado at Aloha Stadium.
Additionally, there will be a concession offering University of Hawai‘i items for sale and an autograph session is also planned.
Tickets are available at Da Booze Shop in Waimea, the Koloa Fish Market, Mark’s Place and Contemporary Flavors Catering in Puhi, JJ’s Broiler in Nawiliwili and Pono Market in Kapa‘a.
Proceeds from this event will go to Na Koa, the official Booster Club of the UH Warrior Football.
