WAILUA – Kaua‘i police arrested a Wailua man after he allegedly shot a traffic light in Wailua Homesteads on Monday. Residents heard a gunshot followed by glass breaking on Molo Street at about 2:30 p.m., a county news release states.

Residents heard a gunshot followed by glass breaking on Molo Street at about 2:30 p.m., a county news release states. Police contend that Bryan Blair, 45, was seen holding a handgun while walking away from the damaged light pole, the release states.
Further investigation revealed that Blair is a convicted felon, which prohibits him from possessing a firearm.
Officers later located and recovered a .22 caliber handgun from Blair’s residence.
They arrested him on second-degree criminal property damage, first-degree reckless endangering and felon in possession of a firearm, among other firearm-related charges.
He is being held in the Police Cellblock in lieu of $130,000 bail.
