Lorraine Lanning
Lorraine “Aunty Lorraine” Ililani Lanning of Wanini, Kaua‘i died May 3, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 75. Born on O‘ahu on May 25, 1935, she was head supervisor of the department at Princeville Nursery and also employed at the Menehune Food Mart, Kilauea.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Carrie Lanning; brothers, Errol Mala K. Lanning Sr. and Titus Swain; sisters, Cherie Mandez and Abigial Kobayashi.
She is survived by her hanai daughter (niece), Bridgette “Maile” Lanning; grandson, Makana Moreno; granddaughter, Aprilani K. Montero; brothers, Earl (Lynette) Lanning Sr., Carl H. Lanning, Theodore M. Lanning; sisters, Collette (Tevita) Tovi, Carrie (Alfred) Carvalho, Leslie M. David and Vallory K. Lanning; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Lihu‘e Ward. Visitation from 8 to 10 a.m., service from 10 to 11 a.m., burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, Kapaia. Paina after burial at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Lihu‘e Ward.

Brian Nestel
Brian Louis Nestel of Lawa‘i died after prolonged illness on May 8, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 73. Born in Jersey City, N.J., on Dec. 9, 1937, he worked as a supervisor at the Koke‘e NASA Tracking Station. At retirement he repaired and sold computers, managing his own company, NESCO.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Nestel; two step-children, Elizabeth Smith and Barney Blankenship. Brian and Frances married in 1969.
Brian loved scenic Kaua‘i and enjoyed golfing as well as astronomy with the KESA club. He supported Frances and the Garden Island Arts Council and also provided and operated sound and video equipment six years at the E Kanikapila Kakou Hawaiian music program.
A service will be held at the Kamalani Bridge at Lydgate at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 19.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Daphne Cremer
Daphne “Dee” Kahaunani Ellis Cremer of Anahola died on May 10, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 65. She was born in Lihu‘e on June 5, 1945.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Ellis Farias.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Cremer Sr.; sons, David (Denise) Cremer of Puhi, Ronnie Cremer Jr. (Elmer Cabacugan) of Maui, Ricky and Shawn Cremer, both of Nawiliwili; daughters, Doreen (Glenn) Gomes of Lihu‘e and Kanani (Kela) Kawamura of Anahola; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Celeste Ellis Farias of Puhi, Alana Ellis Agustin and Valerie Ellis Santos, both of Hanama‘ulu.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27, at the Aloha Church in Lihu‘e; service officiated by Pastor Vill Galiza will begin at 10 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested.

Floro Villabrille
Floro Michael Villabrille Jr. of Kapa‘a died on May 1, 2011, at The Queen’s Medial Center at age 56. Born on O‘ahu on March 17, 1955, he retired as a County of Kaua‘i heavy equipment operator and commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floro and Trini Villabrille Sr.; Alfred and Mildred Pogtis and Daniel Pogtis.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Miyashiro Villabrille; children, Michael Villabrille, Michelle (Derek) Ebesu Jr. of Washington, Sheri (Shane) Villabrille-Matsumura, Sheena (Aaron) Villabrille-Coyaso of Kapa‘a; brothers, Kenneth (Karen) Villabrille of Kapa‘a and Ralph “Sonny” (Teri) Villabrille, Alfred Pogtis and family, Don Pogtis and family, Joann Eguchi and family, Rosa Ramones and family; mother-in-law, Irene Kaui Miyashiro; brothers-in-law, Clayton (Rachell) Miyashiro, Tyrus (Alicia) Miyashiro, Randal (Hilda) Miyashiro; sisters-in-law, Irene Miyashiro, Lynn (Nelson) Salvador, Iris (Sam) Thronas, Diane (John) Mundon of Kapa‘a; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Kailani, Isaiah, Serena and Maddie.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 11, at St. Catherine’s Parish Church in Kapa‘a from 8 to 9 a.m. with service to follow.

Harold Lindsay
Harold “Hal” Charles Lindsay of Anahola died peacefully May 11, 2011, at age 92. He proudly served four years in the Navy during WWII in Hawai‘i and the South Pacific and worked for 30 years as a patrolman for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in California before retiring.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Obey of California; son, Larry Lindsay of Anahola; daughter, Julia Catanzarite of Oregon; son, Harold Lindsay of Virginia; daughter, Valerie Woods of Anahola; daughter, Vivian Herzog of California; son, Charles Lindsay of Nevada and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held on Kaua‘i, Saturday, May 7. A private service will be held later.
David Texeira
David “Kimo” Texeira Jr. of Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i died May 15, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 60. Born in Hawai‘i on May 4, 1951, he retired as a supervisor for Kaua‘i Coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Texeira; daughter, Kim (Blaise) Silva; son, David “Keoki” Texeira III; two sisters, Donna Texeira and Shan (Eddie) Resinto; and five grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 24, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery.
