Kudos to Bev Brody, Jenn Bloom and especially all the Koloa School people on a successful Walk to School Day event Wednesday. Even Deb Haubsmith (she had two puakenekene lei on) from California had a blast.
Debbie Lindsey had her Linfield College (College and Career Awareness, always, she said) shirt on, Bill Arakaki had his Oregon State shirt on and Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. was glad he had his University of Hawai‘i shirt on, and getting up early reminds us the Kaua‘i Marathon is right around the corner.
OK, lots going on this weekend, starting with the Visitor Industry Charity Walk (Joy Miura-Koerte is trying to decide which breakfast to eat), Tom Clements and Jay Pugh at the “Welcome Aboard PMRF,” and coach Keli‘i Morgado and the Green and White game.
Sunday, Brad Hiranaka has a Kaua‘i Bulldogs game, Tom Leighton is out with his motorcycles on the Westside and don’t forget to get your car washed to help Hulali Kiyoko Rivera at the Waipouli Complex. Yukie DeSilva said they’re going to have good food, too.
