Extreme Basketball tourney this month
Those looking for an organized, innovative basketball tournament should mark their calendars for the end of the month.
Philip Baclayon, head coach for the Kapa‘a High School boys basketball team, as well as for the Kaua‘i Youth Basketball Asociation, will be running the Kaua‘i Extreme Basketball Tournament, May 28 to 30 at the Kilauea Gym.
What will make this tournament stand out is the use of a 30-second shot clock, similar to those used in college and NBA games. This will be the first tournament of its kind here on the Garden Island.
It is a competitive tournament open to all statewide.
A team entry fee will be required for participation.
For more information, contact Baclayon at 652-0481 or hanakoa@hawaii.rr.com.
