LIHU‘E — The man believed to have killed Aureo Moore of Kapa‘a in December is expected to appear in 5th Circuit Court today to learn of his new trial date.
Vicente Kotekapika Hilario’s trial was originally scheduled to start this morning, but was pushed back during a pretrial hearing.
He is accused of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, retaliating against a witness, intimidating a witness and bribery of a witness, stemming from Moore’s death. The 34-year-old was shot and killed near Anahola Beach Park.
The hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. in Judge Randal Valenciano’s courtroom. Honolulu-based defense attorney Keith Shigetomi is representing Hilario.
