Banana-rama - The Garden Island

Electronics Technician 2nd Class Shiloh Stieber trims back overgrowth from a banana plant at the Allerton Gardens in Lawa‘i Valley at the National Tropical Botanical Garden. Stieber was one of a group of sailors from Pacific Missile Range Facility in Mana who volunteered to remove invasive species, weeds and pests in observance of Earth Day as well as a gesture of appreciation for the NTBG support of the PMRF Mana Gardens biome project.
