LIHU‘E — Registration for the Kaua‘i Police Activities League flag football program continues for the Kapa‘a-Anahola, Koloa-Kalaheo and Waimea-Hanapepe areas for school-aged youth from kindergarten through 12th grades.
Kapa‘a-Anahola registration started Monday and will be held again today from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the New Kapa‘a Town Park pavilion area located behind the skate park.
Additionally, registration for the Kapa‘a-Anahola area can be turned in at Popo’s Cookies in Kapa‘a from 8 a.m. to noon until April 21.
Registration for Koloa-Kalaheo will also be accepted at Kujo’s Mini Mart in Kalaheo through April 20 during the store’s regular business hours.
Participants in the Waimea-Hanapepe program may register today from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Waimea Canyon Park basketball court parking lot.
Registration for the Lihu‘e area ended Wednesday.
Once all of the registration forms have been collected, practice times will be determined by the region’s coaches.
Cost to participate in the K-PAL flag football program is $20 and scholarships of $10 are being offered to those youth who receive free meals at school through the Department of Education program. Proof of qualification for this program is required during registration.
