KOLOA — Kaua‘i police arrested two motorists on operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants after their vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on Koloa Road early Saturday morning.
About 2:01 a.m. that day, a Dodge pickup, driven by Kevin Anderson, 46, of Koloa, headed east on Koloa Road, just west of the ‘Oma‘o Road junction, when it struck an oncoming Dodge minivan driven by 35-year-old Ellen Yadao of Kalaheo, a county press release states.
A county spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that the pickup crossed the center line, striking the oncoming minivan.
Both individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by medics.
Police arrested them on OVUII and took them to police cellblock, the release states.
