Registration for the second “Pedal to the Meadow” is now being accepted through the event’s website at www.pedaltothemeadow.com.
The official bicycle hill climb race on Kaua‘i is scheduled for May 29 starting at 8 a.m. on the old cane haul road in Kekaha.
Riders negotiate an elevation gain of 3,835 feet over the close to 16 miles, ending at the Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow in Koke‘e State Park.
Rick Beach of Kapa‘a did the ride in 1:05:21 as the top male finisher in 2010 while Michelle Foster of O‘ahu completed the course in 1:25:01 as the top female finisher.
