Kehau and Dr. B hosted lower elementary school students from Kilauea and Kanuikapono Charter School at an outreach program, Monday, and the innocence of youth was obvious as Ani Kituwah Dancer Kaleigh Jackson did not have any walls as she formed quick friendships with the hula sisters of Halau Palaihiwa O Kaipuwai.
Dr. B. said people are invited to learn more about the native peoples during the Sept. 23 Kaua‘i Pow Wow at the Kapa‘a Beach Park.
Kelvin Moniz — he was officiating at Friday night’s KIF volleyball game — said the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank needs about 50 more volunteers to help with the Saturday Food Collection Day.
Speaking of the weekend, Janice Bond (she was holding signs at the rally, Monday) said she’s got to go to the North Shore Lions Pancakes and Hula early Sunday since she’s got church to attend.
Kudos also to Cheryl Ann Farrell and her March of Dimes crew on hosting another successful and fun March for Babies.
