KALAHEO — Pre-registration for the Coach Dennis Agena and Kalakaua Basketball Clinic will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
The pre-registration for students on the Eastside and North Shore will take place Apr. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center.
Registration fee is $20 per player and the clinic is open to boys and girls in grades 5 through 12 who have some basketball experience.
The clinic, hosted by the Kaua‘i Youth Basketball Association and the County of Kaua‘i Department of Parks and Recreation, will feature Agena of the Kalakaua Basketball program, a well-known basketball coach on Kaua‘i among youth basketball players.
The clinic will be held on Apr. 21 to 23, the Good Friday weekend, at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center. On Apr. 21, the clinic will run from 5 to 9 p.m. On Apr. 22 and 23, the clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a lunch break scheduled from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Players interested in participating in the Agena clinic need to bring a basketball, basketball shoes, shorts and t-shirt.
