Surfers ride the PK’s break on the South Shore while awaiting a helicopter for a flower drop during the paddle-out honoring Sion Milosky, Sunday, in Koloa. Milosky, 35, died March 16 while surfing at the famed Maverick’s surf break in San Mateo County, Calif. He had been surfing the renowned spot when he endured ‘a two-wave hold down.’ Originally of Kalaheo, Milosky was a former professional longboard surfer who had recently become a well-known charger of the largest waves on offer.
