Donald Kuebler
Donald Eugene Kuebler of Princeville died March 14, 2011, at home at age 75. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on July 22, 1935, he was the owner of Spinning Dolphin Designs in Hanalei and was an artist and avid sailor.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Kuebler of Princeville; daughters, Rebecca (Scott) Eitel of Chico, Calif., Stephanie Lee; son, Travis (Kerry) Wilker of Long Beach, Calif.; grandsons, Dayne Eitel, Randy Eitel, Kane Wilker; granddaughter, Joey Wilker; great-grandsons, Griffen Eitel, Mason Eitel; great-granddaughters, Claire Eitel, Madison Eitel.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Kuebler family with arrangements.
Elizabeth Lavoie
Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Lavoie of Kapa‘a, formerly of Southbridge, Mass., died March 15, 2011, at her residence at age 59. Born Nov. 23, 1951, in Southbridge, Mass., she was a customer service representative for United Airlines and also worked with the family business, Kayak Wailua.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odilon and Albina Lavoie, and sister, Natalie Lamarine.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Fisher; sons, Jonathan Fisher, Nathaniel Fisher; daughter, Terada Fisher.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 10 p.m., Sunday, May 8, at Beth’s residence, 159-A Wailua Rd., Kapa‘a.

Joe Tafua
Joe Leo Tafua of Kekaha died March 11, 2011, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu at age 60. Born April 19, 1950, in American Samoa, he retired as a truck driver for the Kekaha Sugar Plantation Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lualuania Tafua.
He is survived by his wife, Rachael Tafua; sons, Francis and Daniel Tafua; daughters, Jonell (Vernon) Kaohelauli‘i and Jannah Tafua; sister, Pamata Tafua; brother, Liona Tafua; grandchildren, Fa‘a, Leo, Tua, Faith, Soriah, Leah, Camille, Zayna.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 25, at Waimea Babtist Church. Family requests aloha attire.
