LIHU‘E — The body of a man found last Monday in the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge remains unidentified more than a week later.
Sarah Blane, a county spokeswoman, said neither his name nor the cause of his death has been determined.
“The public has been very helpful in providing information to the police,” she said.
Kaua‘i police are in the process of verifying that information and hope to make positive ID soon, she said. The department is also investigating the cause of death. In an earlier press release, foul play was not suspected.
