LIHU‘E — Appraisers with the county’s real property assessment office will be conducting an island-wide review of all dwellings throughout the month of April and possibly part of May, a county news release states.
According to Steve Hunt, Kaua‘i County real property review officer, the purpose for the review is to obtain current information and create better uniformity in building grades, conditions, and ages.
The data collected will be used to update the county’s real property assessment list for the 2012 assessment year.
Each review is expected to last five minutes or less, and will include exterior photographs of property improvements.
Appraisers assigned to do the review will be driving county vehicles and have photo IDs.
For more information about the review, call the county’s real property assessment office at 241-4224.
