HANAMA‘ULU — Officials at King Kaumualii Elementary School canceled school today in response to a bomb threat found there at 7:05 a.m.
Parents are asked to pick up their children at Peter Rayno Park in Hanama‘ulu.
The school had been evacuated following the discovery and students and staff moved to designated safe zones.
Teachers and the school’s principal searched remaining student backpacks, and Kaua‘i police detectives conducted a threat assessment.
