KALAHEO — A fire in a single-family home in Kalaheo was extinguished this evening, but not before the structure experienced significant damage.
The fire was reported at 8:29 p.m. by a neighbor in the Silver Track housing complex adjacent to the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center, a county news release states. Fire crews from the Kalaheo and Hanapepe stations responded, along with Rescue 3.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and the blaze was extinguished at about 9:21 p.m.
The extent of the damage and cause of the fire is unknown at this time, pending further investigation by the Kaua‘i Fire Department.
