Robert Uyehara
Robert M. Uyehara of Hanapepe, Kaua‘i, formerly of Wai‘anae, O‘ahu, died at home in Hanapepe, Kaua‘i at age 83. Born on Oct. 17, 1927, in Wai‘anae, O‘ahu, he was a budget analyst at the Naval Ammunition Depot on O‘ahu.
He was preceded in death by parents; Taro and Violet Uyehara.
He is survived by wife Allison Uyehara; son Dean (Jocelin) Uyehara; daughter, Carrie (Douglas) Lee; sister, Evelyn (Robert) Hamakawa and Janet (Larry Sr.) Sakata; numerous nieces and nephews; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private services were held.

Angelina Merano
Angelina Guerrero Merano of Hanama‘ulu died Feb. 12, 2011, at age 64 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on April 14, 1946, in Santa Ingnacia, Tarlac, Phillipines, she was a retired preschool teacher with Kaua‘i Economic Opportunity for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Marlo V. Merano; son, Marlo G. Merano; brother, Donaery (Nilda) Bunao Guerrero; sister, Carmen (Domingo) Casino; one grandson; numerous uncles; aunts; nieces and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome on March 1. Visitation is from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Kapaia Road, Lihu‘e with burial to follow.
Family request casual attire.
Harry Fisher
Harry Ward Fisher of Kapa‘a died at home on Feb. 19, 2011, at age 63. Born in California on April 20, 1947, he was a truck driver for Golden State Foods.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Fisher of Kapa‘a; son, Paul Ward (Julie) Fisher of California; daughter, Keli Fisher of Kapa‘a; and one grandson.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 6, at Breath of Life on Rice Street with services celebrated at 3 p.m.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Fisher family with arrangements.
Gary Odegaard
Gary Richard Odegaard of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, died Feb. 3, 2011, in Carson City, Nev., at age 60. Born in Boloit, Wis., on Feb. 10, 1950, he was the owner of Gary’s Plumbing Co.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Mahina Odegaard; daughter, Arielle Michelle Odegaard; sister, Julie Edwards of Sacramento, Calif.; twin sisters, Kathy Wilson and Karen Odegaard of Carson City, Nev.; brother, Steve Odegaard of Corona, Calif.
A taped memorial service from Carson City will be shown on March 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Lawa‘i Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church presided over by Pastor Roman Beresnev.
William Aylward Jr.
William “Bill” J. Aylward Jr. of Lihu‘e died on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at age 92. Born on Christmas Day in 1918 in Fall River, Mass., he was in personnel, labor relations and management at various corporations.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adele Aylward.
He is survived by his three children, Lynn Aylward-Bingman of Kalaheo, Leslie J. (Ken) Centner of Portland, Ore., Bill (Lorraine) Aylward III of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brother, Paul T. (Mary) Aylward of Bethlehem, Pa., and three grandsons.
A remembrance memorial will be held at the Regency at Puakea on Tuesday, March 1, at 2 p.m. Bill’s ashes and those of his wife will be scattered over the Pacific Ocean.
