Twelve high school softball teams from around the state will join the three Kaua‘i high school teams when Waimea High School opens its 2011 Invitational tournament, Feb. 24-26 at the Hanapepe Stadium complex.
Kapa‘a High School will be in the “A” Pool and will be joined by Mililani, Mid-Pacific, Kaiser and Waialua high schools.
Kaua‘i High School will compete in the “C” Pool and will be joined by Castle, Kalaheo, Pac 5 and Iolani high schools.
Host Waimea High School will be in the “B” Pool which features Punahou, Pahoa, Sacred Hearts and Kalani high schools.
The tournament opens with pool play between the three pools on Thursday and Friday with the first games starting at 10 a.m. and the final games starting at 3:15 p.m., all teams playing two games each.
Following the results of pool play, the leaders square off on Feb. 26 with the championship games scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
