Malia Kagawa scored in the 41st minute for Kauai, which was all the Raider Wahine needed in their 1-0 win over Kamehameha-Big Island, Friday at the Waipio Soccer Complex.
That semifinal victory puts Kauai into the championship of the JN Automotive/HHSAA Division II Girls Soccer state tournament, which takes place Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Waipio Main Stadium.
Kauai, the tournament’s No. 3 seed, will face Mid-Pacific, which pulled off a 1-0 win over top seed Hawai‘i Prep in Friday’s other semifinal.
The championship will be broadcast on OC16 at 5 p.m., followed by the Division I championship at 7 p.m.
