Waimea High School graduate Beau Cuizon “personalized” his golf cart used in the taping of the 2011 Ace Shootout presented by Marriott, Wednesday.
Beau (his sister Beth is teaching music in New Zealand) said the video crew was here since Monday getting the equipment prepped for the show which will air on The Golf Channel later this year.
Art Umezu (he was hosting the special showing for “Just Go With It,” Thursday night) said it was a good thing the rains held up until Thursday, and everything was in good hands with Eddie Abubo taking care of the Kaua‘i end.
Eddie was working closely with producer Ben Parker, and the Wilcox Foundation director Jill Lowry was in good hands with Stacy Acma of Kapi‘olani Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network connection.
At the Adam Sandler movie which premieres Feb. 11, Art said Angela Tillson (no wonder she wasn’t at Ocean Count) did a lot of the legwork for that move, and Marlene Blair (Art said she bought new clothes for the event) pushed so Kaua‘i could have a special showing, Thursday.
OK, it’s off to see Harvey Maeda and those fancy cars at the Courtyard by Marriott at Coconut Beach.
