Frankie Chung
Frankie Chung, 49, of Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, died Jan. 23, 2011, in Honolulu. Born in Hong Kong, Chung came to Hawai‘i in 1980 and quickly found an entry-level job at McDonald’s. He assumed greater and greater responsibilities in a nearly 30-year career at McDonald’s. In 2009, he acquired all five McDonald’s restaurants on Kaua‘i and moved there from Honolulu shortly thereafter.
Chung is survived by his wife Darlene; two sons, Brandon and Michael; brothers, Simon Chung and Poshu Cheng; and sister, Gloria Lau.
Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 14, at Diamond Head Mortuary in Honolulu from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. Both are open to the public. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawai‘i.
Federico Macalma
Federico M. Macalma of Waimea, Kaua‘i died Feb. 1, 2011, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 1915, in the Philippines, he was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Crisanta Macalma; parents, Pedro and Paula Macalma; brothers, Lorenzo, Luis, Eustaquio Macalma; sisters, Inocencia, Genoveva Macalma.
He is survived by his daughters, Pacita (Guillermo) Abrogena, Dolly (Michael) Tambio; son, Nicolas (Rose) Macalma; brothers, Gabriel Macalma, Florencio (Elisea) Macalma; seven grandchildren, Garry (Crissa) Abrogena, Glenda (Nelson) Academia, Grace (Jayson) Valera, Raquel (Opie) Cope, Jennifer Tambio, Nickson (Honeylore) Macalma, Norelyn Macalma; five great-grandchildren, Nedda Gayle Academia, Nina Gwyneth Academia, Jaylord Abrogena, Gevrone Jaye Valera and Nico Macalma; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, Feb. 11, at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Kekaha. Visitation is at 1 p.m. with Mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Cemetery.

Gary Richard Odegaard of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i died Feb. 3, 2011, in Carson City, Nev., at age 60. Born in Boloit, Wis., on Feb. 10, 1950, he was the owner of Gary’s Plumbing Co.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Mahena Odegaard; daughter, Arielle Michelle Odegaard of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Julie Edwards of Sacramento, Calif.; twin sisters, Kathy Wilson and Karen Odegaard of Carson City, Nev.; brother, Steve Odegaard of Norco, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at the Carson City Seventh Day Adventist Church on Feb. 10, presided over by Pastor Dennis Crystal of Laymen United For Truth. A celebration of life will be held later on Kaua‘i.
Charlene McKeague
Charlene ‘Mickie’ Mikahala McKeague of Hanama‘ulu died Jan. 10, 2011, at her residence at age 63. Born on April 17, 1947, on O‘ahu, she was a cook and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by sister Florence Manuel.
She is survived by husband Stanley McKeague Sr.; son Stanley McKeague Jr.; stepdaughter Lulu Ormond; sisters Mary Grace Coronel, Sherlene Kamaka, Sharon (Michael) Hinton, Helen (Monte) McComber, Emily (Greg) Torres, Alice (Dorotedo) Vasquez, Florence Hoopili, Nadine (Gary) Kawamura, Meling Hoopili; brothers John Hoopili Jr., Joseph (the late Fredlynn) Hoopili, Antone Hoopili, Rhinhart (Charon) Hoopili, Gustave (Yvonne) Hoopili, Jonah (BillieJo) Hoopili; hanai children Trish Arizo, Leann Tubal, Jeremy Ledward; 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, Feb. 12, at Kapa‘a First Hawai‘ian Church with service starting at 10:30 a.m.
Family requests casual attire and no flowers.

Peter Kealoha
Peter “Uncle Pete” Kealoha Sr. of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i passed away on Jan. 26, 2011 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 72. Born on May 31, 1938 in Hanama‘ulu, Kaua‘i he was a Tour Guide with Polynesian Adventure Tours.
He is preceded in death by father David Kealoha and mother Hannah Racoma.
He is survived by wife Yvonne Kealoha; children Peter (Momi) Kealoha Jr., Sharon Sanico, Rene Mau, Hannah Kealoha, Sarah Kealoha, Sam Kealoha, Jesse (Odelia) Kealoha, Sweetie (Gaylord) Kahale, John (Nohea) Kealoha, Yvette (Lyle) Naka‘ahiki, John (Charla) Brock, Elena (Leina‘ala) Kealoha; hanai daughter Maria Finazzo; sisters Hannah Noblisse, Mary (Joe) Blakstad, Marta (Donald) Moniz, Hirene Chase; brothers David Kealoha Jr., William Racoma; 30 grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren
