Registration for the Kaua‘i Youth Football is currently being accepted for the spring football season which runs from February through June.
Brad Hiranaka, president of the KYF league, said there will be three divisions for the spring season. The divisions will encompass players from Grades 4 through 8 as well as a freshmen league with no weight limit.
Registration for the league is being accepted from students from all parts of the island, Hiranaka said. Practice schedules are being worked on based on the number of players and the locations they come from.
Divisions will be Grades 4-6, Grades 7-8 and the Freshmen.
Hiranaka said the KYF will have one team in each of three divisions to represent Kaua‘i.
These teams will be playing against one of 40 teams from O‘ahu, or one of 14 teams from Maui.
The first game for the spring season will be played against Ewa Beach on March 5.
Registration fee is $100 per player.
