HANALEI — A high surf warning is in effect for all north- and west-facing shores until 6 a.m. Tuesday, a county news release states.
Officials report surf with 15- to 25-foot faces, dangerous ocean conditions, and strong rip currents from Hanalei to Kekaha.
Beachgoers are urged to go to other guarded beaches for swimming and snorkeling including: Kealia, Lydgate, Po‘ipu and Salt Pond.
