KEKAHA — Kaua‘i police on Tuesday identified the driver who died in the one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning as Corbin Reynolds.
The 17-year-old Kekaha resident was driving westbound on Kaumuali‘i Highway in the vicinity of Manu Road when he crossed the center line and hit a guardrail on the opposite side of the highway, a county news release states. He was ejected from the Toyota pickup truck and died at the scene.
His 17-year-old passenger was transported to Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital in serious condition and has since been discharged, the release states.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
