HANAPEPE — Business owners and representatives are invited to a free commercial-creating event from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, at Storybook Theater.
Utilizing the media studio at the Hanapepe theater, participants are encouraged to come have fun making their own television ad.
Business owners or representatives will star in and help with the production of a commercial which highlights their business or organization, with an emphasis on the organization’s philosophies about community, giving back and healthy living.
Completed commercials will be judged for Overall Excellence which can earn the grand prize of a free commercial production and two months of free airings of a 30-second professionally produced TV commercial on the “Russell the Rooster Show.”
Other categories of Most Creative, Most Likely to Succeed, or Persuasive, and Audience Pick have an opportunity for Honorable Mention which will be given air time on the “Russell the Rooster Show” in the form of highlight spots that usually run for 10 to 15 seconds.
All of the participating businesses and organizations will receive certificates of participation and will have the option to buy raw, edited, or professionally produced footage from Bamboo Moon Video Production.
The event will begin with an open house introduction to Sparky’s Garden, the Spark M. Matsunaga International Children’s Garden For Peace.
Following that, Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce guests will be treated to a Hanapepe Town Walk with pupus, refreshments and live music as the sun sets.
