Larry Rivera already has his Super Bowl plans. He was chatting with Chick Cacabellos after doing his Martin Luther King Day stint at Kukui Grove, Monday.
Tom Tannery and daughter Cheyanne were taking advantage of the holiday, but reminded people of the 28th Keiki Fun Run coming up Saturday at 8 a.m. at Kilohana Estates in Puhi.
Cheyanne will be doing the Kaua‘i All-Girls Rodeo Association year opener, Sunday, along with Tammy Puu who was dancing with kumu hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin and her hula sisters of Ka Lei Mokihana o Leina‘ala. Tammy said she’s been so busy, she hasn’t had much time to practice.
Lenore Klass (they just got home Sunday night) is already gearing up for the Pillsbury contest. She and Bob spent some time checking out the MLK event with Gladys Fujiuchi and friends.
Monroe Richman said Pohaikalani Kirkland should be given a huge word of thanks for pulling everything together for the MLK celebration.
Kudos to Lenda Hesler and all the people involved in the Kaua‘i Regional Science Olympiad, Monday at the Kaua‘i Community College!
