KOLOA — The Koloa Community Association recently announced a community presentation on the 3 megawatt photovoltaic system proposed in Koloa near St. Raphael’s Church.
Po‘ipu Solar LLC representative Jody Allione — a member of their public relations firm Ti Leaf Group, Noelani Kalipi — will make a public presentation on the company’s solar project at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Koloa Neighborhood Center. Also attending will be Corinne Onetto, project manager from San Francisco, David Robichaux, planner, and Bob Retchtnan, an archeologist from the Big Island.
The project is proposed to begin this year and would generate 3 megawatts of electricity, a news release states.
The Koloa Neighborhood Center is on Weliweli Road, one block from Koloa Road in the middle of Old Koloa Town.
