Inline hockey season
getting underway
The 2011 Inline Hockey League begins Saturday, Jan. 15.
The league takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Kapa‘a Rink.
Beginners are welcome and the league is open to boys and girls.
Registration, equipment and instruction is free for children under 10.

Oki Memorial event approaching
The 2nd Annual Ken Oki Memorial Boxing Event will take place Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Lihu‘e War Memorial Convention Hall.
The event, sponsored by the K-PAL Boxing Club will showcase Kaua‘i’s talented boxers from K-PAL Central, K-PAL West, Up & Up Boxing Club Kapa‘a, Keith Delima’s Westside Boxing Club and other unattached Kaua‘i clubs against boxers from throughout the state of Hawai‘i, featuring over 20 bouts.
