Reyn Morioka led his Kaua‘i Junior Golf Association team to victory at the HoHoHo tournament held recently at the Puakea Golf Course.
The Morioka team consisted of Reyn, Jacob Dysinger, who played in the 11-14 year-old junior division, and Kainalu Gandia, a 10-and-under junior. The trio finished the par-36 team scramble with a 3-under par 33.
Each of the five teams entered in the year-ending tournament for KJGA had a 15-18 junior serving as captain, an 11-14 junior and a 10-and-under junior.
Second place went to the team led by Ken Miyata, which included Na‘ea Oda and Logan Gibson, who finished two strokes off the pace at 1-under 35.
Bryden Salvador led Jamie Amimoto and Braeden Armstrong to a 1-over 37, followed two strokes back by a team led by Daesza Tomas that included Michael Miller and James Pratt.
That trio finished at 39, followed a stroke back by the team of Daniel Miller, Matthias Davis and Christian Ganir.
Ron Peeren, the KJGA Tournament Chair, said the day was filled with fun as the entire field of players received presents instead of trophies for participating in the tournament.
