ANAHOLA — Vicente “Vinnie” Hilario, 24, was arraigned Monday in District Court and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Friday’s shooting near Anahola Beach Park.
Hilario, of Anahola, is currently being held at the Kaua‘i Community Correctional Center in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m., Wednesday.
The identity of the second suspect in the murder of Aureo Arick Moore has not yet been released as the case is still pending, a county news release states.
The Kaua‘i Police Department on Monday shut down a portion of Kukuihalei Road, from Pilipoli Road to Anahola Beach Park, as they continued to investigate the shooting.
Moore, 34, of Kapa‘a, died Friday of multiple gunshot wounds.
