KAPA‘A — Two Kapa‘a teens were shot with BBs Saturday afternoon while riding their bicycles along Kawaihau Road next to the Kapa‘a Elementary School basketball court, a county news release states.
The boys, ages 15 and 17, were eastbound along Kawaihau Road at approximately 4 p.m. when an oncoming black sport utility vehicle with tinted windows and chrome bumpers approached, the release states. As the vehicle neared, the boys noticed a gun barrel protruding from the rear passenger window.
The victims were shot several times with a BB gun that left welts on their bodies. The father of the boys notified authorities and then transported the victims to Mahelona Hospital where they were treated and released, the release states.
Police are continuing their investigation.
